We the Beta Upsilon Chapter of Phi Kappa Sigma have instituted policies and procedures to eliminate risky behavior.
Some of these include maintaining a dry house, utilizing third party vendors, and embracing our fraternity’s anti-hazing policy. These policies ensure a clean and safe house that is enjoyed by all of our members and eliminates potential liability and legal issues.
One of the greatest challenges that we have undertaken is establishing a dry house. Since August 26, 2001 we have forbidden all functions involving alcohol at our house. By forbidding parties at our house we do not have to deal with issues regarding underage drinking, alcohol abuse, or disorderly conduct by non-members.
We are also dedicated to keeping hazing out of our new member program. We do not allow new members to drink alcohol whatsoever while pledging and renounce all physical, mental, and emotional abuses in our new member program.
